I am a HUGE fan of the tale of Mr Todd and hope to see your version SPATTERED everywhere one day soon!

I've added your blog to my list of friends - because you ARE and, not only that, but your artwork is TERRIFIC!

Your Sweeney Todd is amazingly sinister - but I can't help wondering whether people would actually have put their heads in his hands for a haircut and shave if he'd looked like this.

Maybe he looked more innocent but changeable or just devoid of any evil - and then he POUNCED! :)

I am fascinated by your work. I have just been pointed in the direction of your blog by Brian Sibley of whom I am a great fan; I also consider him to be a great friend.

Thanks for the comments! These are just character studies at the moment. Sweeney will not always look this sinister , only when he is ...um, working, shall we say?

Thanks again for all of the lovely things you both said.

Me again, just to say...

Peter Emmerich illustrator gets a (I think) quite nice mensh on my blog. The only question is how on earth did the mind that conceived the cadaverous Mr Todd, also produce those cute pictures of Mickey Mouse?
