I have always wanted to illustrate a version of "Sweeney Todd, The Demon Barber of Fleet Street". With the hiatus from school and my newest set of stamps for Disney finished, I gave it a go.
Here is one of my character designs for his partner in crime, Mrs. Lovett. By the way...If you don't know what's in her lovely pies.....You will have to find out!
I will be doing these in color as well.

This is cool Pete, she's got a lot of character. I never read that story, great title. Very inspirational as I've been thinking of starting a personal project of my own.
Very good character "sweet" and dangerous. I will not tate that pie for sure.

Thank you for the comment on my blog. I have never actually read the book the hours, but i enjoyed the movie very much. You have some great character studies.
Thanks everyone for being kind and encouraging! Lately, I need it!
So cool! It looks amazing! So smiley, so innocent--
Until you realize what's in the pies...!
I love the suggestion (whether intended or not) of Freddie Kreuger in the red striped stockings...
I'd say something silly like "Your pics look rilly professional," but, duh! You worked for Disney!
Anyway, yay blogger! I am so glad I got to see this drawing!
