The Landlady

Last year I took Chris Sasaki's Advanced Character Design class at the Animation Collaborative in Emeryville, Ca and it was truly one of the best experiences of my life. Chris is a great man, designer and teacher and I will always be grateful for the lesson's learned. When showing us previous assignments for other classes he mention the Roald Dahl story "The Landlady" about a sweet old woman who funds a B&B and wants her lodgers to stay on much longer than they intended (if you get my drift!). I remember it being on 'Alfred Hitchcock Presents' and I thought I would take a crack at it for my portfolio this year. Here are some initial concepts.

Pete,

Great work on here! It's been a long time since we've talked. Would love to hear what you've been up to and how things are going. Drop me a line so we can catch up a bit.
